2 Hurt In Crash On Country Club RoadTwo people were taken to a local hospital after a two-vehicle accident Wednesday.
Carol A. Bartley, 54, South Country Club Road, Warsaw, complained of pain to the shoulder and upper arm. A passenger in her car, Shelly K. Gilley, 58, West CR 75N, Etna Green, complained of chest pain. Both were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital for treatment of their injuries.
The accident occurred at 12:39 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of South Country Club Road and East CR 400S, Warsaw.
According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office report, a white 2004 Ford Explorer driven by Gwendlyn L. Ostrom, 64, East CR 900S, Claypool, was going east on CR 400S and stopped at the intersection with Country Club Road. Bartley’s white 2006 Cadillac DTS was going north on Country Club approaching 400S.
Ostrom said she stopped and did not see anything coming and proceeded through the intersection and was hit by Bartley’s car.
Bartley said she was going north and Ostrom’s pickup pulled in front of her. She said she tried everything she could to avoid Ostrom’s pickup but was unable to do so.
