Two adults and four juveniles were charged Saturday after an alleged underage drinking party was interrupted at a Warsaw hotel.
Daniel Lee Morrison, 29, of 3273 W. Shutt Ave. #2, Silver Lake, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail on a charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Bond was set at $250.
Also arrested was Marvin Lee Farmer, 20, of 2798 S. Country Club, Warsaw, who is charged with illegal possession or consumption of alcohol by a minor. His bond was set at $175.
The juveniles preliminarily charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor are:
Tyler Duane Owens, 15, of 10406 Ind. 15S #18, Silver Lake, who reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of .032 percent;
Tarah Renee Prater, 14, of 1814 Reider St., Warsaw, who reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of .075 percent;
April Marie Smith, 14, of 1825 Nye St., Warsaw, who reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of .06 percent; and
Russell Edward Kerlin, 17, of 3276 E. Neher Road, Silver Lake, who reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of .06 percent.
According to a Warsaw Police Department report, the 10:32 p.m. complaint about the party at Dollar Inn, East Center Street, Warsaw, was made by a man whose address is the same as Smith's.
When police were let into to the room the party was taking place in, there were allegedly several open beer bottles in plain view.
Morrison told police he rented the room for Smith and knew the teen-agers were going to be drinking, but did nothing to stop them. He denied purchasing the alcoholic beverages.
Three other juveniles and another adult were detained, but not charged. The adult was later released and all of the juveniles were released to guardians.
