Eighteen Warsaw residents reported damage to their vehicles within a three-hour period Friday.
All incidents were reported to the Warsaw Police Department between 7 and 10 a.m. and the vehicles were damaged while parked at their residences.
Six Country Club Drive residents, three Gilliam Drive residents, three residents from McClellan Street and one each on Sunset Drive and Lake Street reported their tires slashed.
Four people - three from Anchorage Road and one from West Point Drive - reported their windshields shattered.
Incidents of tire slashing and other automotive vandalism have increased in the Warsaw and Winona Lake area since July 28.
According to Warsaw Police Chief Steve Foster, the incidents appear to be random, as they have occurred all over the area, and often in groups.
