NORTH MANCHESTER – Margaret Lambert, 82, Syracuse, passed away Jan. 26, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse.  She was born May 29, 1934, in Wabash, to Andrew and Eva Barns Wirsing. She was married to Raymond Lambert, who survives in Syracuse. Graveside services will be at noon Monday at Oak Lawn Cemetery, North Manchester.   Eastlund Funeral Home is handling services.

 Robert E. Ring, 97, passed away Jan. 22, 2017, at West Valley Helping Hands Group Home, Peoria, Ariz.  He was born May 18, 1919, in Claypool, and proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of the 147th Armored Signal Company, the 7th Armored Division Association and the American Legion.

Paula Marie Fitzpatrick, 39, Warsaw, passed away in her residence at 10:28 a.m. Jan. 23, 2017.  She was born March 7, 1977, in Warsaw, to Paul Wayne Fitzpatrick and Joan Heeter Evans. She was a lifetime resident of Warsaw.  She worked at Pak-A-Sak, RR Donnelley & Sons and the Village Pantry.

ELKHART — Helen Schooley, 87, Elkhart, died Jan. 23, 2017, at Elkhart Hospice House. She was born June 9, 1929, in Warsaw, to Stuart A. and Ethel Snyder Thompson. On June 26, 1948, she married Leo G. Schooley in Warsaw. He preceded her in death March 6, 2007. 

FORT WAYNE — Deanne Rochelle Landes, 28, passed away Jan. 19, 2017, after a long battle with brain cancer and the side effects of chemo and radiation.  She was born in Warsaw on Jan. 16, 1989. She attended Indiana University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in journalism. She worked at the radio station Star 88.3 for about a year, really enjoyed working there and with all of her colleagues. 

INDIANAPOLIS — Pamela Jo Beck Schmoll, 55, Indianapolis, passed away Jan. 23, 2017.  She was born March 19, 1961, in Gary, to the late Benny and Frances Stone Beck.  She is survived by her sister, Barbara (spouse Harry) Gigous, Warsaw; nieces, Rachel (spouse Daniel) Bush, Speedway, and Rebecca (spouse Mayford) Combs, Grand Rapids, Mich.; nephews, Joshua (spouse Kim) Gigous, Winona Lake, and Aaron (spouse Tonya) Gigous, East Peoria, Ill.; and nine great-nieces and great-nephews. 

COLUMBIA CITY — James J. Cook, 79, rural Larwill, died Jan. 24, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was born Jan. 10, 1938, in South Whitley, a son of Joseph Ambrose and Mary Louise Myers Cook. He graduated from Larwill High School. He enlisted in the United States Navy. He was honorably discharged June 9, 1963.

Sherri Lynn Noah, 52, Warsaw, passed away at 2:36 p.m. Jan. 23, 2017, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.  She was born March 18, 1964, to Billie G. Noah and Shirley K. Stanley in Gary. She worked at the Cardinal Center, Warsaw. She loved celebrations, especially her birthday, Special Olympics, and going to the VFW to listen to music and dance.

NORTH MANCHESTER — Donna K. Baston, 56, North Manchester, died at 3:45 a.m. Jan. 24, 2017, in Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester. Robert L. “Bob” Westerhof, 74, Warsaw, passed away at 11:29 a.m. Jan. 21, 2017, at Visiting Nurse and Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.  He was born July 6, 1942, in Morrison, Ill., to Theodore and Annette Rozema Westerhof. On Nov. 22, 1970, in Vietnam, he was married to Luyen Thi Vu, who survives in Warsaw. 

Clara L. Shinn, 98, Indianapolis, died Jan. 12, 2017, in Indianapolis. She was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., on April 24, 1918. She married Bob Shinn in Hindsdale, Ill., on April 3, 1943.  Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, with calling one hour prior, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
