Zoners Approve Storage Tank

Posted

Koch Materials was given the go-ahead to construct a 45-foot storage tank on property at 2820 E. Durbin St., Warsaw, Monday night.

Troy Barnhart, Koch regional engineer and project manager, appeared before the Warsaw Board of Zoning Appeals Monday, during a special meeting, to answer questions. He said the company received a permit at the state level and proper secondary containment was designed.

A construction permit for an allowed 35-foot-high tank already was issued by the city.

In other business the board re-elected Alan Clingan as president and Dan Hampton as vice president. Board members are Trish Brown, Richard Keeven and Bruce Woodward. Dan Hampton was absent.

Also absent was Leigh Ann Denlinger who, Clingan said, has resigned from the board. She will be replaced by a person of the mayor's choosing.
