Wawasee's Shanna Zolman is one of 30 players invited to try out for the 2001 USA Basketball Women's Junior World Championship team. Invitations were issued by the USA Basketball Women's Collegiate Committee.
The four-day trials will beheld in the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado, beginning June 15. Trials will continue through June 18. Finalists for the 2001 USA Junior squad will be announced following the June 18 practice session.
Zolman was named one of seven top juniors to watch by USA Today. She was also named to Parade Magazine's All-America first team.
