Zing! Announces Rebranding at Chamber Dinner

Charged with the task of staffing for Fortune 500 and 1000 companies and national and multinational corporations, Zing! Recruiting does it all out of an office in Warsaw.

Zing! Recruiting held a Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event Thursday afternoon to introduce itself to the area business community.

Though the company is well acquainted with several local companies headquartered in Kosciusko County, according to Zing! Recruiting Division Vice President Patricia Miller, not many people are aware of what the company does.

It’s the professional division of Peoplelink Staffing Solutions. Peoplelink was recently acquired by a french firm, Groupe Crit.

In order to distinguish itself, Zing! Recruiting was formed as a rebrand.

Zing! eschews the traditional idea of waiting for resumes to roll in and then trying to fit those to the 200-plus worldwide positions the company is currently trying to fill.

Companies come to Zing! searching for people to fill high-skill areas like engineering, IT, high-level finance and management.

That includes positions up to and including CEO.

They fill those positions through either contract-to-hire or through direct hire.

Zing! customers entrust the company with relocation help, recruiting, cost analysis, job descriptions and much more.

“We’re hired because of our cost effectiveness,” said Miller. “Companies can avoid the burden of trying to fill positions. It allows their HR department to do what they do best. It cuts down on a company’s recruiting costs as well as turnover costs.”

She estimates that at the very least, using Zing! can save a company 10 percent off bringing in new hires without including hidden costs that come along with it.

Miller cited bringing in a woman to Warsaw for a company from Puerto Rico.

Not only was she a good fit for the company, but Miller was able to assure the woman that Warsaw was a good fit for her and her family.

Miller was able to help the prospective employee wade through issues like local real estate and schools.

“We want to make sure the fit is right for both parties,” said Miller.

Miller is from Warsaw and began with Peoplelink when it was still Corporate Staffing Resources in 1989.

As Miller’s clients grew and moved to different companies, they kept her as the person to bring in talent.

Zing! employs a proactive approach to recruiting potential employees. Rather than just blindly posting job descriptions on job boards, Miller and her staff of eight recruiters actively seek people.

Some may not even be in the market for a new job.

Zing! works with companies ranging from orthopedics to food to aerospace and defense.

Those jobs can include extensive educational, personal and criminal background checks, all of which Zing! takes care of.

Miller said that the company has been as busy as it’s ever been trying to fill positions, but with the educational and occupational requirements that come with those jobs it’s a process to find qualified candidates.

Miller said there is a gap in areas like engineering where there are more jobs than people to fill them.

Zing! employs several hundred people and Miller expects that number to grow as she has grown her clients as well as candidate pool.

“It’s all about relationships,” said Miller. “We’ve been really lucky to have built relationships with clients over years and they take us with them wherever they go. Also our candidate pool is massive and diverse. Out database is massive.”

On Miller’s staff, Tracy Benzinger was recently named recruiting manager.

In all, ZIng!’s staff totals more than 40 years of professional recruiting experience.

More than 100 people were on hand for Thursday’s event at Zing!’s office located on U.S. 30 east of Warsaw, and Noa Noa catered the event.
