The Kosciusko Community YMCA congratulates Zimmer Biomet on winning the 2026 YMCA Corporate Challenge.
Four local organizations competed in 17 events Aug. 27-29 at the Parkview Warsaw YMCA, Downtown Warsaw YMCA and K21 Sports Complex. Participants tested their teamwork, athletic ability and problem-solving skills in events including tug of war, swimming, trivia, volleyball, pickleball, kickball, dodgeball, basketball, soccer and more.
The final standings were:
1. Zimmer Biomet: 1,520 points
2. Lake City Bank: 1,300 points
3. Warsaw Community Schools: 1,160 points
4. Parkview Hospital: 980 points
“One of the best parts of the weekend was seeing how much fun the teams had together,” said David Elsner, director of sports and recreation for the Kosciusko Community YMCA. “The energy and sportsmanship made this a great experience for everyone involved, and we look forward to continuing to grow the Corporate Challenge in the years ahead.”
The Kosciusko Community YMCA congratulates Zimmer Biomet on its first-place finish and thanks every participant, team captain, event leader, volunteer and supporter who helped make the Corporate Challenge an amazing weekend, stated a news release from the YMCA.
While only one team could take home the championship, every organization brought tremendous energy, teamwork and company pride to the competition, the release states. The YMCA is grateful to Zimmer Biomet, Lake City Bank, Warsaw Community Schools and Parkview Hospital for participating and helping create a memorable community event.
The YMCA Corporate Challenge encourages employee health and wellness, strengthens workplace relationships and brings local organizations together through friendly competition. The YMCA looks forward to building on the excitement of this year’s event and welcoming even more organizations to the challenge in the future, according to the release.
