Zelpha Ginter, 91, died at 7:40 p.m. Dec. 21, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born Feb. 9, 1922, in North Webster, to Glen and Sylvia Miller Witmer. On Jan. 4, 1942, in Whitley County, she married Carlyle L. Ginter, and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary in 2012. She wintered in Everglade City, Fla. She was a 1940 graduate of North Webster High School. She was co-owner with her husband, Carlyle, of Ginter Electric-Heating and Cooling from 1950 until 1979 when the business was turned over to their son, Wayne. She was its secretary for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Warsaw. Her legacy is her concern for the salvation of others. Zelpha and Carlyle allowed themselves to be used by God to serve as missionaries to those who were in need – whether a meal or place to sleep. Their gift of hospitality was second to their deep desire to lead those they met in the Warsaw and Everglade City areas to Christ; was a great hostess and cook. Surviving are a son, Wayne (and spouse Jan) Ginter, Warsaw; a daughter, S. Anne Mason, Toledo, Ohio; four grandchildren: Josh Richard, Fort Wayne, Mark (and spouse Andrea) Richard, Toledo, Ohio, Lynnae (and spouse Greg) Hall, Columbia City and Rod Ginter, Cincinnati, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlyle Ginter, on March 13, 2013; an infant son, Walden Ginter; and a sister, Lucille Keck. Services will be at noon Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Jim Zaugg, Indianapolis, officiating. Burial will be in North Webster Cemetery.
