In times of need, people need a place to go where they can feel supported, improve their well-being and create meaningful experiences in their lives.
Last year, the Kosciusko Community YMCA helped thousands of children and adults take charge of their health, spend quality time together as a family, develop relationships with neighbors and learn new skills.
Kosciusko County residents and all of Northeastern Indiana will see the impact of joining the YMCA Oct. 1-14.
The YMCA is planning its “Try The Y Campaign,” taking place at participating YMCAs throughout Northeastern Indiana.
During this two-week period, participants can become YMCA members for a week to experience all the benefits the YMCA has to offer.
If they decide to join after trying the YMCA for a week, they can take $5 off their joiner’s fee for every canned good they bring in, up to $25. Canned goods will be donated to Combined Community Services.
Stop by either the Kosciusko Community YMCA location on Smith Street or in North Webster and join as a “Try The Y” member.
Participants will get the opportunity to take a tour and have any questions answered.
The “Try the Y” membership will last for a week or will end Oct. 14, whichever comes first.
During that time, “Try the Y” participants can take classes, try the climbing wall, use on-site childcare, swim, play basketball and work out.
At the end of that time, if they decide to join, they can bring in canned goods to get a discount on the joiner’s fee and all new members in the family will get a t-shirt, while supplies last.
Participants have until Oct. 31 to claim the canned goods discount.
