Kosciusko Community YMCA is inviting all ages in Kosciusko County to attend YMCA’s Arts Week Monday through Oct. 6.
This is an annual celebration showcasing the talents of artists through various forms of expression.
Held at YMCA’s nationwide in October, National Arts and Humanities Month – Arts Week is an initiative of the YMCA that promotes the power of art to educate, inspire and connect the entire community.
“Arts Week is about celebrating the influence of art and culture on youth and adults alike,” said Summer Zimmer, Kosciusko Community YMCA marketing director. “It’s an opportunity for kids and adults to experience and learn about the arts – even things they may not have considered before.”

– Monday, photo collages and balloon animals in the youth center from 6-8 p.m.
– Tuesday, Watercolor Artist Nicole Moore-Malloy will lead the kids in making coffee filter watercolor paintings from 5 to 6 p.m.
– Oct. 5, kids will receive an opportunity to write poetry at 5 p.m.
From 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., jewelry artist Roxanne Coffelt, Lakeland Art Association, will demonstrate precious metal clay jewelry-making in the lobby.
