YAP Lunch ReachDoing something fun and helping the community seems like an oxymoron, but Young Adult Professionals did just that with their new 'Lunch Reach' program Friday. YAP members 'donated' their lunch hour to walk dogs for the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County. Pictured is Jill Murphy, of Warsaw, an employee at Kuder Estates, with one of the AWL's 'clients.' The Lunch Reach program was designed to help the community, expose young adults to non-profit organizations, be a good example to youth and provide non-profit organizations with more exposure. During the Lunch Reach, YAPs were able to give approximately 15 dogs fresh air, lots of human contact, socializing and exercise. No word on whether any of the dogs were 'YAP'ping. You can drop off donations at the shelter Tuesday through Saturday. Their needs are canned dog and cat food, canned puppy and kitten food, cat litter, leashes, collars, animal toys, old blankets, towels, bleach, laundry soaps, hand sanitizers, any kind of office supplies or equipment.
