INDIANAPOLIS – WRZX/X103 and Live Nation announced X103 presents X-Fest: The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Tour at Klipsch Music Center Sept. 8.
Headlining this year’s X-Fest will be Shinedown and Staind.
Godsmack, Papa Roach and Adelitas Way also will be featured on this year’s main stage. This year’s X-Fest also includes the Ernie Ball and Jägermeister Stages with P.O.D., as well as Duece, Fozzy, Redlight King, Mindset Evolution, In This Moment, Thousand Foot Krutch, Candlelight Red and a local battle of the bands winner.
Atlantic recording group Shinedown recently released their fourth studio album “Amaryllis,” which entered at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart with more than 105,000 units sold in its first week earning the multiplatinum rock band the highest chart debut of their career. Produced by multiple Grammy award winner Rob Cavallo, “Amaryllis” features the chart-topping single “Bully” and its follow-up “Unity.”
“Bully” marks Shinedown’s seventh consecutive No. 1 at rock radio, continuing a streak that began with their previous album, 2008’s “The Sound of Madness.” That release proved to be the band’s mainstream breakthrough, debuting at No. 8 on the Billboard 200 before spending 120 consecutive weeks on the chart. The history-making album had each of its six singles go to No. 1 at rock radio, including the two-times platinum certified crossover smash, “Second Chance,“ which also topped the Adult radio chart and went top 5 at Pop in 2009.Staind is a multi-platinum Massachusetts hard rock outfit comprised of Aaron Lewis, Mike Mushok, Johnny “Old School” April and tech turned drummer Sal Giancarelli. Over the past 16 years, the band forged a melodic musical maelstrom that served as solace for fans of all ages. They’ve sold more than 15 million albums worldwide, had 10 top 10 singles across multiple formats with four songs hitting number one, and wrote the most-played rock song of the past decade, “It’s Been Awhile.”
The X103 presents X-Fest The Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Tour will entertain fans with a full afternoon and evening of great rock bands and will also include a concourse midway featuring band autograph signings, vendors and other activities.
