Editor, Times-Union: We were gone for a few days and I picked up the Times-Union to catch up and noticed the letter to the editor that talked about WRSW’s coverage of the storm last week. Obviously, the writer did not listen Saturday morning. Rita had all of the information. She gave the information from NIPSCO about the estimated time power could be restored in a broad area. Then she gave the information that was given to her from REMC. It was done all morning long. When an update from NIPSCO came at noon, she broke into the program and gave it again.
I know she had calls about the fireworks and other activities because I was one of them. When she didn’t have the answer, she found out and announced it right away. The morning was both entertaining and informative.
Maybe someone wasn’t there all the time, but Saturday Rita was. Let’s give credit where credit is due.
