NORTH MANCHESTER - Dr. Beate Gilliar will lead a series of writing retreats beginning Feb. 14 at 10 a.m. in the Blocher Community Room.
The Art of Storytelling workshop conveys ways of telling and writing a story in engaging and empowering ways. Register for the workshop at the adult services desk, or by calling the North Manchester Public Library at 260-982-4773.On Feb. 14, celebrate the chocolate-y goodness of Valentine's Day by bringing in two dozen of your favorite brownies for the brownie taste-test. Bring your brownies with an entry form, located at the main desk, to the public library on Feb. 14.
Voting will begin at noon, so make sure your brownies are here before then. Patrons will taste-test the brownies and vote for their favorite. The brownie with the most votes will be the winner. The baker of the winning brownie will receive a copy of "The Ultimate Brownie Book" by Bruce Weinstein.
