The Warsaw Community Public Library is participating in the PBS Kids Go Writers Contest for children in kindergarten through third grade.
Packets of information are available at the library, downstairs on the slat board as patrons enter the building and also upstairs in the children’s area.
Guidelines, word count, information about the format, illustrations and awards plus an official entry form are included in the packet.
Entries should be turned in at the children’s reference desk on or before April 5.
PBS has provided a writing guide on their web site to assist teachers, parents and caregivers in creating the stories.
For additional information contact Margaret at 574-267-6011 or go to the area PBS station at info@wfwa.org
An author’s celebration will take place at WCPL in April when each story will be read and participants will receive certificates. The date will be decided later.
