Deb Wright is seeking re-election to the Kosciusko County recorder seat.
She was first elected to the seat in 2006, as Deb Wulliman. On Aug. 8, 2008, she married Andy Wright.
"I love my job and it is a natural decision for me to want to seek re-election and continue to serve the taxpayers," Wright said. She has been employed in the recorder's office since November 1998.
Wright said she has completed a variety of accomplishments during her first term as county recorder.
She completed back indexing through 1991; back imaging through 1992; employed Doxpop LLC at no cost to the county to provide the public with easy access to recorded documents; and employed CSI Title One software saving thousands of dollars per year and putting money back into Indiana's economy, she said.
She also was instrumental in eliminating a full-time position of deputy recorder when it became vacant in 2008. She eliminated all of her county general budget in 2010, and attained a certified county official certificate through Ivy Tech in conjunction with the Association of Indiana Counties.
Wright is a member of the Indiana Recorder's Association, Association of Indiana Counties, Kosciusko County Republican Women's Club and First United Methodist Church, Warsaw.
She volunteers at First United Methodist Church, the City-County Athletic Complex, Kids Market Inc. and is a Salvation Army bell ringer.
