Randy Polston presented a check for $1,947 Friday afternoon to Warsaw Police Dept. DARE Officers Doug Light (C) and Joe Hawn (R). The donation to the local DARE program is from the sale of Officer Terry Polston desktop memorials that were made from his DARE van. Terry Polston's scholarship fund through the Kosciusko County Community Foundation already has received the same amount of money from the sale of the memorials. Randy Polston said memorials are still available for a $10 donation. Anyone interested in purchasing one can contact Randy (L, holding one of the memorials). Terry Polston, a 26-year veteran of the Warsaw Police Dept., succumbed to a six-year battle with lung cancer in December 2008. He taught DARE in the Warsaw Community School system for 16 years.
