Woodrow W. Palmer, 96, formerly of Retired Tigers, 320 W. Main St., Warsaw, died at 9:30 a.m. Feb. 13, 2010, in Miller's Merry Manor, Warsaw.
He was born Aug. 26, 1913, in Sidney, to Fred and Edith Wagner Palmer. In 1939, he married Frances A. Morrison, who died in February 1980. In 1966, he married Frances E. Sellers, who survives.
He attended Monroe Grade School and graduated from Sidney High School in 1931. He was a member of Sidney Brethren Church. He farmed in the Claypool area until 1966, and retired from Orthopedic Equipment Co., Bourbon, in 1977.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Palmer, Fort Wayne, and Richard Palmer, Warsaw; two stepsons, Ed Sellers, Morganton, N.C., and Jess Sellers, Michigan; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Joyce Campbell, who died in 1988; two brothers, Joe and John; and a sister, Helen.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Henry Church officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
