Each year, high school and college students are given the opportunity to apply for the Woodies Supermarket Scholarship Fund.
This year, 15 high school and 17 college students were given scholarships (a total of $19,500) to pursue their academic careers.
Woodies Supermarket Scholarship Fund was founded in 1978 by Woodie and Devota Schramm. Woodie was a businessman in the Warsaw and Bremen areas. His wife, Devota, was a former teacher at Atwood Elementary. Mr. and Mrs. Schramm chose to share the rewards of their hard work and dedication to give other young people an opportunity.
This fund has contributed $646,100 to 1,204 Warsaw graduates since the Fund's inception in 1978.High school recipients of the Woodies Supermarket Scholarship Trust for 2008-09, along with the names of their parents, the college they plan to attend and their chose field of study are: William B.
