Woodies Supermarket Educational Scholarship Trust Recipients Announced

Each year, high school and college students are given the opportunity to apply for the Woodies Supermarket Scholarship Fund.
This year, 12 high school and 17 college students were given scholarships, a total of $25,000, to pursue their academic careers.
Woodies Supermarket Scholarship Fund was founded in 1978 by Woodie and Devota Schramm. Woodie was a businessman in the Warsaw and Bremen areas. Devota was a former teacher at Atwood Elementary. The Schramms chose to share the rewards of their hard work and dedication to give other young people an opportunity.
This fund has contributed $696,300 to 1,269 Warsaw graduates since the fund’s inception in 1978.

Fribley, parents Scott and Wendy, University of St. Francis, biology/pre-physician assistant; Chad M. Keen, parents Jeff and Tracy, IPFW, paramedic science; Devan Lynn Ostrom, parents JC Barry and Diana, Purdue University, animal science; Sharayaha R. Raisler, parents Kevin Raisler and Tammi Mead, Grand Valley State University, nursing; Marissa E. Schramm, parents Scott and Anne, Cornerstone University, social work; Lauryn L. Steffe, parents Kevin and Teresa, University of Indianapolis, psychology with occupational therapy; Travis F. Thomas, parents Michael and Cynthia, Bethel College, business/graphic design; Taylor J. Zigon, parents David and Karen, Purdue University, electrical and computer engineering technology.
