Woodies Scholarships Awarded To Area Students

Each year, high school and college students are given the opportunity to apply for the Woodies Supermarket Scholarship Fund.This year, 11 high school and 21 college students were given scholarships totaling $26,750 to pursue their academic careers.

Woodies Supermarket Scholarship Fund was founded in 1978 by Woodie and Devota Schramm. Woodie was a businessman in the Warsaw and Bremen areas. Devota was a former teacher at Atwood Elementary School. The Schramms chose to share the rewards of their hard work and dedication to give young people an opportunity.

This fund has contributed $626,600 to 1,172 Warsaw graduates since the Fund's inception in 1978.
