Women's Auxiliary Organizes Angel Tree Donations

Posted
Pictured (L to R) are Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary members with Salvation Army Angel Tree items that will be given to more than 800 needy children today: Sharon Clay, Marilyn Ritchison, Sharodene Morris, Mary Hartle, Ann Gephart and Ann Pinnick.

The Auxiliary members spent Monday at the connection building at First United Methodist Church, Warsaw, organizing the donated items that were purchased by the community. Each child will receive a toy, book, hat and gloves.

Salvation Army has offered Angel Tree since 1988, and this it the 90th year Salvation Army has assisted families during Christmas, according to Ken Locke, community ministries director.

There were Christmas trees set up at local businesses and churches where the community could take tags off the trees to purchase suggested items for children in need.
