A 34-year-old Warsaw woman reported an attempted rape late Saturday night while walking on Prairie Street, Warsaw.
The woman told police that she was returning from Marsh Supermarket around 11 p.m., when a man jumped from the bushes, beat her and attempted to rip off her clothes. She fought back and ran home, where she got her vehicle and went to Kosciusko Community Hospital for medical treatment.
The woman suffered severe bruising and lacerations. No suspect has been identified.
