Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputies and emergency personnel responded Friday to a single-vehicle crash on Armstrong Road near the intersection with CR 75E. The call came in at 5:17 a.m., according to a press release issued by Chad Hill, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department public information officer. Rescue personnel from Leesburg Fire Department extracted a driver identified as Kathryn Logan, 25, Warsaw, from her 2007 Chevy Cobalt.Logan had left the roadway for an unknown reason and struck a NIPSCO utility pole. Logan was airlifted to Lutheran Hospital in serious condition with a head injury. It is unknown if Logan was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Logan was treated then released Friday afternoon, Hill said. KCSD deputies also were assisted at the scene by Multi-Township EMS. The crash is still under investigation at this time.
