Woman Arrested After Allegedly Battering PartnerA Warsaw woman was arrested Monday on intimidation and battery charges after allegedly pushing and grabbing her partner.

Jessica Dawn Konkle, 38, of 504 W. Center St., Warsaw, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 5:47 p.m. Monday for level 6 felony intimidation. Her preliminary bond was set at $3,750.

Court documents filed Monday list the charges against her as intimidation, a level 6 felony; interfering with the reporting of a crime, a Class A misdemeanor; and domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor, with an enhancement to make it a level 6 felony due to Konkle having a prior conviction. She had been convicted of battery resulting in bodily injury in Kosciusko County in 2003.

On July 21, a woman went to the Warsaw Police Department to report that on July 20, she and her partner, Konkle, began having an argument. She said when she attempted to leave, Konkle pushed her, causing her to strike her head on a refrigerator.

She told officer J.D. Metzger she attempted to leave the residence again when Konkle grabbed her arm, causing pain and bruising. Metzger saw bruising that was consistent with the woman’s story.

She said that Konkle then took her phone to prevent her from calling 911. She said Konkle threatened her if she contacted police.

Metzger spoke with Konkle, who said she could not remember the altercation, but that if something happened physically, it would have been her grabbing her partner when she attempted to leave.

Konkle also said she had taken the woman’s phone in the past, according to court documents.
