Mariah Renee Wise and Matthew Jay Roberts were married Sept. 1, 2007, at Rochester Church of Christ with Dan Cooke officiating. The bride's parents are Mark and Deb Wise, Claypool; the parents of the groom are Jon and Betty Jo Roberts, Syracuse.
Maid of honor was Amanda Wise, Claypool. Bridesmaids were Kristy Blauser, Terre Haute; Alison Ruhl, Lansing, Mich.; and Rhyann Dillinger, Rochester.
Best man was Jon Roberts, Syracuse. Groomsmen were Marc Roberts, Crawfordsville, and Derek Patterson, Syracuse. Ushers were Chuck Sterk, Valpariso; Charles Tucker, Mentone; Justin Daugherty, Decatur; and Michael Spalding, Waldron.
A reception was held at North Webster Community Center.
The bride is a graduate student at Purdue University, West Lafayette. She is a 2002 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School, Akron, and received a bachelor's degree in agricultural education from Purdue University, West Lafayette, in 2006.
The groom is employed by Roberts Farm, Syracuse, and is an extension specialist at Purdue University. He is a 2001 graduate of Wawasee High School, Syracuse, and received a bachelor's degree in agriculture systems management and farm management from Purdue University in 2005.
After a wedding trip to King Ranch, Kingsville, Texas, the couple reside in Syracuse.
