Temperatures in the single digits didn't deter this avid sailor Friday afternoon. Recent warm, rainy weather followed by a quick freeze has turned Winona Lake into the perfect venue for ice boating. Lake residents Craig Norrell and Lyle Shenefield were enjoying jaunts across the lake at speeds up to 40 mph. The ice boat is owned by Shenefield. Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
