WINONA LAKE – Winona Lake town engineer Larry Long provided updates on road projects in the town during Tuesday night’s council meeting.
Long said the Prestwick Street reconstruction work is 50 percent complete.
Work will continue in the spring on the $1.3 million project with plans to have it completed by next summer.
John Boal, councilman, said he heard compliments from Prestwick Street residents who informed him they are thankful the town has kept them informed on the project.
Long said new storm drains are being installed on Eola Drive and Arbor Lane. The project cost is $11,600. Final grading, seeding and mulch still needs to be completed.
Long informed the town that the system that provides electronic controls for the town’s pumping station is having issues.
The transmitters at the pump stations in the town were not transmitting data to the street department.
Antennas on the pump station were not sealed properly. Cables will be replaced at no cost to the town. The cables were ordered last week and will be replaced next week.
