Winona Reaches Tentative Pact With Stonehenge

Posted
WINONA LAKE – Winona Lake Ward 2 councilman Terry Howie announced today a tentative agreement has been reached between Winona Lake and Stonehenge Golf Club.
The agreement allows the long-awaited Stonehenge Homeowners Association road reconstruction project in the Murifield and Prestwick subdivisions to move forward.
The subdivision and golf course being congruent, an agreement was needed for the town to legally manage water retention and pumping equipment to control drainage that has caused streets to deteriorate over the years due to water accumulation in the subsoil base under the streets.
“Both the town of Winona and the Stonehenge Homeowners Association are pleased that we can move forward for our local residents with due diligence in addressing this longtime problem,” Howie said.
Howie said he anticipates the contract agreement can be ratified during Tuesday’s Winona Lake Town Council meeting.
