WINONA LAKE – Customers of the Winona Lake Post Office are so satisfied with its service that the office won another trophy and certificates Thursday from the state. Brian K. Blane, Post Office operations manager for zip codes beginning with 463, 465 and 467, presented Winona Lake Postmaster Dan King and Sales & Service Associate Shelly Turek with a trophy Thursday for customer satisfaction for fiscal year 2015. The Post Office’s fiscal year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30. When a customer makes a transaction at the Post Office, they are given a receipt and there’s a point-of-sale survey on it about the service the customer received. “These guys get 100 percent satisfaction repeatedly,” Blane said. “They keep winning and everyone knows it, and customers keep waiting for the trophy.” He also presented the Winona Lake Post Office with certificates of appreciation for August and September. The certificates state they were presented to the Post Office for “POS Survey Champion, Customer Insight Measurement, Greater Indiana District” and are “An official commendation and recognition of your contributions to the United States Postal Service.” The Winona Lake branch in 2015 received certificates for best customer satisfaction out of all the post office retail units in the state in March, May, June, August, September and November. While the state representatives from the state were at the Post Office Thursday, King’s quartet, Four O’Clock Shadow, serenaded them with several short numbers. A video of that performance is on the Times-Union website at www.timesuniononline.com The members include King, his son, Nick King, Dr. David Haines and John Kirkpatrick.
