WINONA LAKE - During the third week of the MasterWorks Performing Arts Festival, small student ensembles will perform at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday in the Artisan Court.
Thursday at 3:30 p.m. there will be a student recital at the Free Methodist Church. The MasterWorks Opera Company, under the baton of David Gier, will perform Mozart's "The Magic Flute" Thursday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. in Rodeheaver Auditorium.
The MasterWorks Orchestra and Dance Ensemble will take the main stage Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Rodeheaver Auditorium for a night of classical music and dance. Anthony Spain will conduct the orchestra in Bernstein's "Overture to Candide" and "A Night at the Ballet," Shostakovich's "Dance Suite No. 1" and Rimsky-Korsakov's "Capriccio Espanol."
The third week concludes Sunday at 7:30 p.m. with a faculty recital at Rodeheaver Auditorium. All performances are free and open to the public.
