April 1 is recognized as Census Day.
Winona Lake has a Complete Count Committee whose mission is to promote the census for a complete count, according to Winona Lake Clerk-Treasurer Retha Hicks.
The committee includes representatives of Village At Winona shop owners, Grace Village, all Winona Lake churches, Warsaw Community Church, Jefferson Elementary School, Lake City Bank, Winona Lake and Lakeland Christian Academy.In March, the US Postal Services will deliver initial 2010 Census questionnaires.
The Census Bureau is currently holding testing for census workers in Kosciusko County in several communities.
Anyone interested in being a census worker should call 574-344-4560 or 866-861-2010.
All applicants must bring in two forms of identification to the testing location and pass a written test.

In April, the US Postal Service will deliver 2010 census replacement questionnaires to the households that did not return the forms.
