Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
WINONA LAKE - Saturday is kids' day at the Northern Indiana Fat and Skinny Tire Fest in the Village at Winona. While the adults are touring the county or racing their mountain bikes in the woods, kids and their bicycles can participate in their own event. The Warsaw Noon Optimists and other volunteers have a full schedule of fun.
Nowhere else at one event can you: decorate your bicycle at the Wild Ride Bike Art (10 a.m.), then join the Wild Ride Bike Art Parade and show off your "masterpiece" (10:30 a.m.); jump in the Trek Tricycle Race (11 a.m. - tricycles are provided).
At noon and 4 p.m. will be BMX shows sponsored by Sun Rims - don't try these tricks at home! Test your riding skills at the Winona Wheelie Drags (1 p.m.) or just cruise around on the big and little choppers (2 p.m.).
Don't miss Winona's very own and unique Island Pong Experience (2 p.m.).
Tricycles, extra helmets, art supplies and awards are provided for all kids' events.
