Winona Council Hears About ‘Pajama Party’WINONA LAKE – The annual Pajama Party in The Village At Winona kicks off at 7 a.m. Saturday.
The event was part of the “Winona Happenings” during the Winona Town Council meeting Tuesday night. Shoppers can plan to come – wearing their pajamas – to take in deep discounts at the local merchants.
Winona Mercantile goods will be 50% off from 7 to 8 a.m.; 40% off 8 to 9 a.m.; and 30% off 9 to 10 a.m.
Luxe Boutique’s sales start at 50% off at 8 a.m. and will decrease each hour until 5 p.m.; The Mucky Duck’s sale starts at 25% off at 7 a.m. and decreases until 6 p.m.; Port Winona will offer 15% off all day and $5 mimosas all day, along with breakfast specials; Olive Branch is 20% off 7 to 10 a.m. and the first 25 customers in their pajamas get a free wine glass with their purchase of $20 or more; Letterwood offers 20% off all day, including 40% off a sale table of select items; and Beloved begins selling their goods at 50% off at 7 a.m. and decreases until 6 p.m.
On Friday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. for the Winona Lake Park restrooms.
Also Tuesday, the board:
• Approved a 2020 Wayne Township Parks & Recreation agreement that provides Winona Lake with $18,000 for the year for people who live in Wayne Township to use Winona’s parks. The $18,000 includes a $7,500 increase in last year’s agreement.
• Approved to have a feasibility study done at Pierceton and Packerton roads for a roundabout. The cost of the study is $6,940 and the project will possibly be a 2021 project. The study will look at traffic data.
• Presented a roundabout design agreement for CR 250E and Pierceton Road. Part of the funding for the roundabout will come from a state Community Crossings Grant.
• Swore Denny Duncan in again as vice president of the council.
