NAPPANEE - Winifred L. Mast, 74, of 12957 N. CR 700W, Nappanee, died at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 14, 2007, in Hospice House, South Bend.
He was born Aug. 6, 1933, in Nappanee, to Chauncey and Lillie Hollaway Mast. On Feb. 19, 1956, in Niles, Mich., he married Rose Marie Richardson, who survives.
He was a graduate of Nappanee High School and a dairy farmer. He was a member of First Mennonite Church. He was a Army veteran, serving in Germany.
Surviving are four sons: Michael Mast; Mark (and spouse Coleen), Matt and Mario (and spouse Julie) Mast, all of Nappanee; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Donnabelle (and spouse Dean) Keck, Columbia City, and Miriam (and spouse Bob) Wilson, South Bend. He was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers and a great-granddaughter.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Mennonite Church with the Revs. Janet McFall-Brown and Jesse Beer officiating. Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
Calling is from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
