Editor, Times-Union: On Wednesday, County Republican committeemen will gather to fill the vacancy of the county coroner position. Tracy Wilson, a candidate for this position, has served our county for many years and in each position has shown great kindness and compassion for those she has served. On June 18, 2014, a tragedy occurred in our small community of Silver Lake that will forever be marked in our minds and hearts for years to come. Tracy Wilson was on scene doing whatever she could to help, her care and compassion to the family being the most profound. She took time with the family and those of us who witnessed the tragedy or the aftermath of it. We saw her tenderness in the job that she performed that day and she went beyond her duties to console those who were there. The position of county coroner needs to be filled by someone who not only has the credentials to do so, but someone that shows great empathy to those who are affected. Tracy Wilson has both qualities and she is who we need to serve our county. Republican Committeemen, I implore you to vote Tracy Wilson for county coroner. Tonya Conley Silver Lake, via email
