Wilmer Eugene LoherWilmer Eugene Loher, 83, passed away peacefully at Castle Rock Assisted Living on Aug. 6, 2022.

He was born Feb. 25, 1939. Wilmer was born in Burket. At the age of 3, he moved to the family farm near Leesburg. He attended school there and was a great basketball player.

On Sept. 14, 1958, he married Alice Kelly. While living in Indiana, Wilmer enjoyed farming and loved buying all kinds of animals for on the farm. Wilmer and Alice retired, and on June 5, 2005, moved to Colorado to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Wilmer was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather! During their early retirement years, Wilmer and Alice enjoyed traveling together, having family outings and cookouts with their family.

Wilmer is survived by his daughters: Cynthia (Sal) Mazzara and Suellen Loher (Doug); grandchildren: Travis Kinney, Zach (Danielle) Kinney, Anthony (McKenna) Mazzara; and his sweet little great-grandchildren: Jackson and Emma, as well as many other family members, including brother, David Loher, of Warsaw.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held for both Wilmer and Alice on Oct. 1.

In lieu of cards and flowers, hospice were our angels here on earth, so we have chosen for donations to be made in Wilmer’s name to Brighton Hospice, 8055 E. Tufts Ave., #425, Denver, CO 80237.
