NORTH MANCHESTER - Wilma Jean Bowman, 66, of North Manchester, died at 3:12 p.m. Aug. 21, 2010, at Peabody Retirement Community, North Manchester.

She was born Feb. 5, 1944, in Fort Wayne, to Allie Mae Newby Curran. On April 30, 1983, in Miami County, she married Jack G. Bowman, who survives.

She was a member of Beaver Dam United Methodist Church. She worked at Chamberlain's, Akron; Wens; and delivered newspapers in Akron. She loved puzzles and gardening and enjoyed flowers.

Also surviving are three children: Leester "Lee" (and spouse Grover) England, Akron; Brent Bowman, North Manchester; and Kolena Bowman, Indianapolis; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren: Dayne England, Rochester; Tiffany Yarian, Fairmont, W.Va.; Shawna England, Warsaw; and Anthony England, Akron; and four great-grandchildren: Joseph, Natasha and Zachary Yarian, all of Fairmont, and Wyatt Salyer, Warsaw.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Peabody Chapel, North Manchester, with Pastor Sue Babovec officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Peru.

Calling is one hour prior to the service Wednesday at Peabody Chapel.

Grandstaff-Hentgen Bender Chapel, North Manchester, is in charge of arrangements.
