Willodean “Sadie” Summy, 79, of Warsaw, passed away at 6:40 a.m. Dec. 22, 2011, in her residence.
She was born Sept. 23, 1932, in Savastopol, to Elmer Glen and Harriet Marie Carey Woods. On Feb. 11, 1955, in Burket, she married Paul Norman Summy, who died April 19, 2009.
She lived most of her life in Burket and Warsaw and was a homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Karen (and spouse Gregg) Foster, Mentone, and Peggy (and spouse Glen) Tharp, Warsaw; five grandchildren, Kiley, Aaron (and spouse Katie) and Joshua Foster and Sarah and Lamar Tharp; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Maxine Goon, Leesburg, and Gloria Wade, Warsaw; and a brother, Don Woods, Warsaw. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Richard “Dick” and Lloyd Woods.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw, with Rod Mayer officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
