NARRAGANSETT, R.I. - William Wyman, 72, of Narragansett, R.I., formerly of Warsaw, died March 25, 2009, in South County Hospital.
He was born in Warsaw to Hebert and Theresa Hubler Wyman, who preceded him in death. He married Josephine Paquette Wyman. They were married for 51 years.
He was a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving on Polaris submarines, the Robert E. Lee, and the Thomas Jefferson, retiring as Master Chief. He was a graduate of Salve Regina College. He owned and operated RI Business Forms.
Surviving are two sons, William Wyman, Narragansett, R.I. and Mark (and spouse Karen) Wyman, of Foster, R.I.; two daughters, Mary Jo Wyman, Narragansett, R.I., and Lisa (and spouse Louis) Matracia, North Providence, R.I. He was preceded in death by five grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, two brothers and a sister.
A memorial service with full military honors was held at the R.I. Veterans Memorial Cemetery on April 3.
