SYRACUSE – William R.J. “Billy” Scarbeary, 40, of Syracuse, died Dec. 6, 2011, in Columbia City.
He was born Sept. 21, 1971, in Goshen, to William R. and Becky K. Felts Scarbeary.
He was a U.S. Army veteran. He spent the last several years in the Syracuse area following his retirement from the service. Surviving are two daughters, Taylor Redmond, Arizona, and Suzanne Price, Florida; his father, Bill Scarbeary, Columbia City; his mother, Becky L. Lee, Syracuse; three sisters: Lisa Scarbeary, Cave Creek, Ariz.; Natalie Hoard, Fort Wayne; and Jennifer Johnson, Edwardsburg, Mich.; and a grandmother, Julia Ann Byrd, Syracuse.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery with military honors.
