SYRACUSE — William "Ralph" McMahan, 93, Syracuse passed away Aug. 4, 2018, at Kosciusko Community Hospital.
He was born May 7, 1925, in Oskaloosa, Iowa, to William and Ruby Alexander McMahan.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He retired from U.S. Steel in 1983.
He was a longtime area resident, having summered on Lake Wawasee very early on.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry McMahan, Syracuse, as well as his daughter, Natasha McMahan, also of Syracuse.
Services will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Eastlund Funeral Home, Syracuse, with calling two hours prior from 3 to 5 p.m.
Burial with military honors will follow at Union Cemetery, located west of the funeral home on CR 1000N.
