William R. "Bill" Wagoner, 58, of Plymouth, died Feb. 3, 2011, in his residence, after a brave battle with cancer.
He was born May 29, 1952, in Warsaw, to Roland and Bertha Wagoner. On May 2, 1992, in Bourbon, he married Janice Green, who survives.
He graduated from Triton High School in 1970 and worked for his dad at Bourbon Farm and Home Supply, assembling implements for farm machinery. He was the lead guitar player for The U.S. Male Band in 1967, and toured a four-state area. The band opened for the national touring bands. He later played in the bands Backwood, Rivendell, Dave Haycraft Band and lastly Jan Wagoner and The Left Hand Rockers, from 2007-10. In November 1976, he opened Wagoner's Music Shop, Plymouth.
Also surviving are a brother, Tom (and spouse Diana) Wagoner, of Bourbon; four sisters, Joann Wagoner, Bobbie Brunk and Patty Bauer, all of Plymouth, and Margi Heckley, Fishers. He was preceded in death by his parents.
