William H. Brace, 74, of 3762 W. Old 30 Lot 95E, Warsaw, died at 4:18 p.m. Oct. 16, 2009, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne.
He was born March 7, 1935, in Erie, Pa., to William and Ellen Fratus Brace. On Sept. 1, 2007, he married Kelli Marie Roller, who survives.
Living in Warsaw for the past eight years, he was a quality assurance manager at Spartech Industries, Warsaw, for 16 years. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 1957, and received his honorable discharge in 1962. He was a Ball State University graduate. He was a member of New Harvest Church of the Nazarene, Warsaw, where he was an adult Bible study teacher. He was a member of United Way and the Key Leader at Spartech Industries for United Way. he was a member of ASQ - Certified Quality Systems Auditor and a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Hollywood, Calif. He was a Head Start School bus driver for Cardinal Services, Warsaw.
Also surviving are five sons: Bill and Jeffery Brace, both of California; Howard and John Brace, both of Washington; and Darrin Brace, Nebraska; a daughter, Linda McCracken, California; a stepson, Myles (and spouse Darnell) Wolfe, Indiana; a stepdaughter, Marsha Schrader, Indiana; many grandchildren; two brothers, Dave (and spouse Patricia) Brace, North Manchester, and Paul (and spouse Carolyn) Brace, Tennessee; and a sister, Donna Snook, Arizona. He was preceded in death by a sister.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at New Harvest Church of the Nazarene, Warsaw, with Pastors Bill Keen and Chris Rego officiating and with military rites by members of American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars 1126, both of Warsaw.
