William E. ‘Bill’ YoungSYRACUSE – William E. "Bill" Young, 82, of Leesburg, passed away on Dec. 31, 2022, at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital.
He was born on May 4, 1940, in Knightstown, to Robert and Emily Walker Young. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. Bill was a longtime member of the Syracuse American Legion Post 223. He retired from Delco/GM.
Bill is survived by two stepsons, Bob and John Ottinger; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his wife, Margaret Young; two brothers, Lonnie Young Sr. and Donald E. Young; and one stepson, Jack Ottinger.
There will be a walkthrough and military honors on Thursday, Jan. 5 at 11 a.m. at Eastlund Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown.
