William C. “Chuck” Spencer, 55, passed away at 5:05 a.m. March 25, 2013, in his residence. He was born Feb. 26, 1958, in Paintsville, Ky., to James and Polly Click Spencer. On May 6, 1976, in Paintsville, he married Tamra Walters, who survives. Moving to Kosciusko County from Paintsville in 1997, he was an independent over-the-road semi truck driver. He loved to camp, enjoyed fishing and loved to spend many hours hunting turkey and deer. He found pleasure in the outdoors and with his family. Also surviving are three sons, Chad (and spouse Heather) Spencer, Oil Springs, Ky., and Neal Spencer and Chris (and spouse Leah) Spencer, all of Warsaw; three sisters, Veletta (and spouse Tommy) Morgan and Diana (and spouse Paul) Adams, all of Leander, Ky., and Felicia (and spouse Billy Joe) Bales, all of Denver, Ky.; two brothers, Darrell Spencer, Swamp Branch, Ky., and Terry Neal (and spouse Beth) Spencer, Leander; his mother, Polly Spencer, Leander; eight grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Phelps and Sons Funeral Home, Paintsville. Burial will be in Spradlin Cemetery, Paintsville.
