PIERCETON - William "Bill" T. Graham, 83, died at 3:25 p.m. Oct. 3, 2008, in Renaissance Village, Fort Wayne, where he resided since 2000.
He was born Oct. 25, 1924, on a farm in Clay Township, Howard County, to Charles and Bertha Zimmerman Graham. On Feb. 18, 1953, he married Patricia L. McKeone.
He graduated from Clay High School in 1942, and Purdue University in 1951. Early in his career, he was a farmer, and eventually he was in the insurance business. Living most of his adult life in Pierceton, he was a member of Pierceton United Methodist Church, where he taught Sunday school many years. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and sports, especially Purdue football.
Surviving are a daughter, Sue (and spouse Ron) Pence, South Whitley; a son, Bill Graham, Fort Wayne; two granddaughters, Stacy (and spouse Joel) Frank, South Whitley, and Stephani (and spouse Heath) Lortie, Columbia City; three great-grandchildren; six sisters: Mary Christenson, Frankfort; Edna (and spouse Frank) Jackson and Esther (and spouse Bill) Givens, all of Kokomo; Ruth Anderson, Denver; Norma (and spouse Cloid) Windmiller, Amherst, Ohio; and Sue (and spouse Arlis) Sheffield, Bedford, Va.; four brothers: James (and spouse Velma) Graham, Moline, Ill.; John Graham, North Manchester; Robert (and spouse Kathy) Graham, Bennettsville, S.C.; and Paul (and spouse Peggy) Graham, Bridgewater, Va.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Pierceton, with Pastor Duane Kline officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Pierceton.
