SAINT JOSEPH, Mo. – William “Bill” Morris Goy, 61, of St. Joseph, Mo., died July 18, 2012, in Heartland Regional Medical Center after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born Feb. 5, 1951, to Morris and Marianna Estes Goy. On June 5, 1971, he married Marcia Deitchler, who survives.
He worked in the insurance industry and law enforcement. He was a long-time member of Ashland United Methodist Church.
Also surviving are three daughters, Alicia (and spouse Tyler) Morgan and Dlo (and spouse Brian) DuVall, both of St. Joseph, Mo., and Lana (and spouse Adam) Horoho, Warsaw; a sister, Charis Ann Cox, Savannah, Mo.; grandchildren: Blake, Ridge and Chase Morgan; Ashlynn, Calvin and Lauren DuVal; and Jack and Ryan Horoho; stepmother, Nancy Goy, Omaha, Neb.; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory, Saint Joseph, Mo. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
