PARKSBURG, W.Va. - William "Bill" Sherwood Bright, 85, of Martinsburg, W.Va., died April 11, 2010, in Care Haven Center, Martinsburg.
He was born April 23, 1924, in Mifflin, Ohio, to Martin Luther and Grace Doerrer Bright. He married Virginia Myers, who preceded him in death.
He owned Uncle Bill's Market and Bright's Fur House, Warsaw and Pierceton.
He was of the Lutheran faith.
Surviving are two sons, Timothy Kline, Paradise, Calif., and Thomas Bright, Mansfield, Ohio; five daughters: Deanna Dean Bright, Paradise; Nancy Lee Carr and Darlene Ann Bright, both of Mansfield; Marry Lou Llewellen, Ashland, Ohio; and Billie June Keaffaber, Martinsburg; a brother, Charles David Bright, Ashland; two sisters, Mary Lou Myers and Marta Belle Bolen, both of Ashland; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by one daughter, two brothers, two sisters and a grandchild.
Services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, Parkersburg, W.Va. Entombment will be Saturday in Sunset Memory Gardens.
